Introduction

Formed in 1992 under the name of `UNITY` and officially registered with the Charity Commission of England & Wales under the name of `Muslim Welfare Institute` (MWI) on 4th December 1996, the MWI is a registered charity organization based at Unit 301 Daisyfield Business Centre, Appleby Street in the town of Blackburn, in the county of Lancashire situated in the Northwest of the United Kingdom.

Mission Statement

The MWI aims & objectives are to establish short-term and long-term projects in developing countries in the fields of Education, Medicine, Welfare & Relief, Rehabilitation and other projects which benefit the people in their time of need. The projects of the MWI commenced in Albania in the year 1993, in Bangladesh & India in 2003, in Macedonia and West Bengal in 2017.  We also started working in Bosnia from 2019 and are also focusing upon local projects here in the UK. At present, the MWI is working in 7 countries.
